Common Webbing Materials

Nylon tape

Nylon tape is a high strength elastomeric material commonly used in belt applications (especially in flat nylon). When the fabric is wet, the fabric tends to stretch about 2% of the length of the fabric. Experts warn that nylon tape should not be constantly exposed to water because it tends to absorb liquid and can be moldy if it is not properly maintained.

Polyester tapes

Polyester tapes are durable and similar to nylon. This material is suitable for applications where high loads are required. Polyester tapes have low water absorption and are more resistant to powdery mildew and corrosion than nylon. This tape is widely used in applications, including racing seat belts and seat belts. With the development of techonoly, another new type of material has come into the market. It is called pvc coated webbing which is made of polyester and soft plastic.  Actually, it is a similar version of the polyester tape except for the fact that there is a layer of pvc coating at the top. It is considered to be the ideal sollutions for pet accessories(dog collars, dog leashes), Equetrain goods like horse bridles and other applications.

Polypropylene tapes

This type of tape is widely used in outdoor applications. Some products made of this tape include window meshes and plastic bags. Polypropylene tapes are comparable to nylon, but are usually lighter. In addition, it is produced in the United Kingdom. Protected and waterproof. Although it has a low wear resistance, the material is processed in various thicknesses. According to experts, this is the best solution for medium-intensity operations.
