What is TPU material?

TPU is thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber. TPU is a polymer polymerized by chemical reaction of diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI), toluene diisocyanate (TDI), biomacromolecule polyol and chain extender. It is a kind of plastic material that can be continuously softened or changed at a specific temperature, but it can maintain the shape at room temperature and can play a supporting and protective effect, and is widely used in shoe midsole.

What are the characteristics of TPU?

1. Wide coverage of strength: According to changing the formulation of each chemical reaction component of TPU, products with different strengths can be obtained, and with the increase of strength, the products still maintain stable ductility.

2. High mechanical strength: The bearing capacity, impact resistance and shock absorption characteristics of tpu handicrafts are outstanding.

3. Good production and processing characteristics: tpu can be produced and processed by ordinary thermoplastic material production and processing methods, such as injection, extrusion, calendering, etc. , TPU and some polymers can be produced and processed together to obtain polymer cemented carbide with complementary characteristics.

4. Significant cold resistance: TPU has a relatively low glass state change temperature, and still maintains stable ductility, flexibility and other physical properties at minus 35 degrees.

5. Oil resistance, moisture resistance and mildew resistance.

6. High wear resistance: It can be seen from the comparison of Taber wear coefficient of tpu and other materials.

7. Strong reusability
