                                                                                    SuperZoo 2026 Recap

SuperZoo 2026 wrapped up today at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The three-day event (August 12–14), organized by the World Pet Association, drew over 1,300 exhibitors and 23,000 attendees across 350,000 square feet - once again the largest pet retail trade show in North America.

Buyers Want Durable, Low-Maintenance Products

If one theme ran through the show floor, it was this: retailers are placing bigger bets on waterproof, weather-resistant pet products. Collars, leashes, and harnesses built on coated webbing - PVC coated webbing and TPU coated webbing in particular - showed up in booth after booth. Exhibitors pointed to a simple driver: consumers want gear that stays clean, resists odor, and handles outdoor use without falling apart.

Several brands specifically highlighted TPU options for cold-weather flexibility and REACH compliance - a spec European buyers now routinely require.

The Supply Chain Is Catching Up

For manufacturers, the practical takeaway: buyers are scrutinizing material specs more closely than before, and supply chain agility - faster turnaround, lower MOQs, easier color matching - matters almost as much as the product itself.

Chinese suppliers have been closing the gap on customization, offering reflective thread integration, LED fiber embedding, and custom embossing in coated webbing, with lead times dropping from six weeks to under three for custom orders.
