PTFE heat-shrink tubing, also called Teflon heat-shrink, is a high-performance sleeve made of polytetrafluoroethylene. It delivers outstanding chemical stability, extreme high- and low-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, a low friction coefficient and excellent electrical insulation, making it ideal for demanding high-tech and industrial applications.
Shrink temperature: starts at 350°C; we set the heat gun to 400°C to offset losses and speed things up.
Procedure of heating PTFE heat shrink tube
Set heat gun to around 390°C.
PS: IR thermometer is also okay. (keep the temperature in the 340–380°C range)

Rotate the tubing around its axis while heating; never keep the nozzle on one spot. When the section turns fully transparent, move lengthwise and repeat until complete. The tubing will return to its white/translucent color once it cools-this is normal.

Inspect: the finished sleeve must be smooth, wrinkle-free, and tight against the part.

Note: Lighters heat unevenly and are not recommended.
Since 2009, we have been specializing in various types of tubings - PVC tube, silicone tube, heat shrink sleeve, and so.
